Installation

Install Odatix

Odatix is a Python package: one command in most cases. The only real question is where the package comes from.

pip install odatix

Python 3.6 or later — see the prerequisites.

Recommended

From PyPI

The stable release, straight from the Python package index. One command to install, one to upgrade — this is what the rest of the documentation assumes.

Offline

Download the package and its dependencies once on a connected machine, carry the archive over, and install the same stable release with no network at all.

pip install odatix*.whl Air-gapped or restricted machines Install offline

From sources

Clone the repository and install it in editable mode: the latest unreleased features, and a source tree you can read, patch and contribute back to.

pip install -e . Developers · contributors Install from sources

Then get ready to run

Odatix drives the EDA tools you already use — it does not ship any. Once the package is installed, two things are left before your first job.

Install your EDA tools

Vivado, Design Compiler, Genus, OpenLane, Verilator, GHDL… at least one supported tool is required.
